Genomik Laboratory, is a nationally recognized molecular biology laboratory, counting with highly trained personnel and specialized work resources in the modern technology of molecular biology, guaranteeing results with a high degree of accuracy, reliability and in a timely manner. We focus on fulfilling our client’s expectations and requirements by continuously improving our processes, guaranteeing competitiveness and sustained growth.
Participation in the Intercomparison Exercise Program "Study of DNA polymorphisms in blood stains and other biological samples"
Since 1992,The Spanish and Portuguese-Speaking Working Group of the International Society for Forensic Genetics, has annually organized an Intercomparison Exercise with the aim of providing to the laboratories that investigate DNA polymorphisms in biological samples for forensic purposes, a proficiency test to evaluate the quality of the results, assist in the unification of criteria and in the implementation of new techniques and serve as proof of competence of the laboratory that performs tests. This exercise is coordinated by the personnel from the Quality Assurance Service of the Department of Madrid of the National Institute of Toxicology and Forensic Sciences (Ministry of Justice, Spain).
The results from this exercise are presented and discussed at annual work meetings (Forensic Genetics Conferences), debate forums between the participants who discuss the difficulties involved in the analysis of DNA polymorphisms and the legal and practical need for the analyses to be carried out with the necessary warranty.
The Spanish and Portuguese-Speaking Working Group of the International Society for Forensic Genetics SPG-ISFG.
Genomik Laboratory, paternity and filial relationship’s studies since 1999, and is the first in the field at a national level. Its specialists have extensive experience performing these studies and they guarantee their scientific performance in this field through the participation in the activities at the Spanish and Portuguese-Speaking Working Group of the International Society for Forensic Genetics summons. We have been members and participants of this group since 2002 to the present date.
The successful results obtained in quality control studies that the SPG performs annually, deserves a special mention. The quality and reliability of the results are firmly rooted because these studies count with the highest technology available in the international market and with the available DNA Marker Batteries that allow you to address any feasible affinity relationship study variant. This marker battery is continuously rising to increase the possibilities of resolution in complex cases.
